Key Data:

  • Graduation: 14% vol
  • Origin: D.O.P. Utiel-Requena, Spain
  • Variedades: 80% Bobal, 10% Garnacha, 10% Syrah

El Corral 2018 is a red wine made with a particular vinification and separately for each of the three varieties: Bobal, Garnacha and Syrah. Each variety goes through a previous maceration during the first days before starting alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. After fermentation, the wine is transferred to another tank to eliminate the thick lees and initiate malolactic fermentation. Afterwards, each variety is aged separately for 6 months in barrels before blending. Finally, the wine undergoes gentle stabilization and is bottled, finishing its aging in the bottle in the cellar.

Production and Bottling

El Corral 2018 is made with a particular vinification for each variety. The harvest is carried out manually in mid and late September for the Syrah and Bobal varieties, and at the beginning of October for the Grenache. After alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, each variety is aged for 6 months in barrels before making the final blend. The wine undergoes gentle stabilization before being bottled and continuing its aging in the bottle.
